Vicky flees from an abusive foster father, and jumps on the first bus out of the small Georgia town where she lives. The bus takes her to New Orleans, where she meets Dave Boudreau, a pimp with a heart of gold. He has four girls living in the home he inherited from his parents, and tries to ease Vicky into a world of prostitution. When one of the hookers and her best friend, Jesse, give Vicky an unusual necklace for her sixteenth birthday, she recognizes it from a repeating nightmare she’s had since childhood. This event starts her on a quest to find out about her past. Discovering that her real name is Judith McCain and she comes from a wealthy family is the good news. As for the bad news, she feels she must bring those responsible for it to justice.
