When Rome transgresses upon his father's domain that lays between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, Pacorus, a prince of the Parthian Empire, is sent to exact revenge. After a string of victories Pacorus and his men are captured in Cappadocia, clapped in chains and sent to Italy to live out the rest of their days as slaves. But fate intervenes and Pacorus and his companions are saved from a living hell by a renegade gladiator named Spartacus. In gratitude, Pacorus agrees to help Spartacus build his army as Rome musters its legions to crush the slave uprising. And so begins an epic adventure of glory and savagery played out across the length and breadth of Italy, as Spartacus defeats the armies of Rome and Pacorus leads his horsemen to victory after victory. But will Pacorous and the slave army escape from Italy, and will he win the love of the fierce and proud Gallia before the most powerful man in Rome, Marcus Licinius Crassus, takes the field against Spartacus?

"Darman has researched this novel extremely well, as one would expect with his military non-fiction background. This detail is meshed with great story telling which flows along with great gusto. Less for the fact that this book is about a Parthian rather than a Roman, I would describe it as a βRoman Sharpeβ. Darmanβs style is similar to and as good as Bernard Cornwellβs, one of my favourite authors."
"I anticipated greatness from this novel because Rochelle can create authentic battle scenes and, at the same time, grasp the complexities of human emotions, and as I anticipated this book is great. It is an utterly brilliant book from start to finish and one I highly recommend." βMary Anne Yarde, Yarde Reviews and Book Promotion

π The Agincourt King (The Plantagenet Legacy Book 5) π by Mercedes Rochelle https://amzn.to/3TQ0bio π
From the day he was crowned, Henry V was determined to prove the legitimacy of his house. His father's usurpation weighed heavily on his mind. Only a grand gesture would capture the respect of his own countrymen and the rest of Europe. He would follow in his great-grandfather Edward III's footsteps, and recover lost territory in France. Better yet, why not go for the crown? Poor, deranged Charles VI couldn't manage his own barons. The civil war between the Burgundians and Armagnacs was more of a threat to his country than the English, even after Henry laid siege to Harfleur. But once Harfleur had fallen, the French came to their senses and determined to block his path to Calais and destroy him. By the time the English reached Agincourt, they were starving, exhausted, and easy pickings. Or so the French thought. Little did they reckon on Henry's leadership and the stout-hearted English archers who proved, once again, that numbers didn't matter when God was on their side.

In the new world order, collagen and Botox are out; becoming a vampire is in. Houses are not only green; theyβre empathetic. Yet bad guys and crime still exist, some of it sanctioned by the gods.
Vampire Shawn Goodwin has one purpose in life: to be the first of her kind to walk in the light forever. Sheβs taken the first step in her journey by becoming a 911 emergency operator and counselor on the night shift. She saves lives for a living.
In order to throw off the shroud of vampirism, Shawn sees her invitation to become a god as a sign that itβs possible to become a real immortal, not the pale copy that vamps are. (They can be killed, after all.)
So she accepts the offer, only to find that someone is trying to stake her before she reaches the immortal state. Which of her so-called friends is really her enemy? Derek, the wizard whose blood feeds her? Jane, his sister, the witch who watches over them? Anthony, the head vampire? His brother Timothy, who resents Anthonyβs power? Enrique or Luke, Anthonyβs right hand men? Or Tom or Max, who like Anthony, Timothy, and the entourage have suddenly come into her life?
A Yorkshire Christmas, a Manchester mobster, and a Galapagos cruise. Will her determined detecting help her set them all to rights?
