For U.S. Navy SEAL, Bowie โRuckusโ Cooper, going on a mission into the most dangerous place on earth wasnโt new, neither were the orders to tag and bag an international criminal, but when Bowie finds a captive American reporter, that wasnโt exactly run of the mill. Neither was getting separated from his team, teaming up with her or protecting her against all odds, while working to keep his hands from around her neck and off her delectable body.
Fearless and bold photojournalist, Dana Sorenson never backed down from a fight or to showcase her dedication to reporting on the human condition. Thatโs what she thought until she meets Bowie and big, bad, and tough takes on a whole new meaning. Gratitude for saving her ass gets lost in his demanding orders and fighting for her life takes a back seat to falling for this alpha male whoโll risk everything to see her safe.

I just kissed my dad's best friend....
And he's really not too happy about it.
A life long crush can make a girl do some wild things.
I ran into Nathaniel at my parent's party.
And I couldn't contain my desire for the silver-haired Adonis.
So I excuse myself to the restroom.
And imagine him there as I touch myself.
Then I speak my desire for him as I reach my climax.
KNOCK. KNOCK.
In walks Nathaniel with a stern gaze...
And what appears to be a stiffness in his trousers.
"Whatever this is it NEEDS to stop."
"You mean this?" I come close to his luscious lips and pause.
Then we finally kiss.
I took my chances in the bathroom that fateful night.
But NOTHING could prepare me for the greatest Christmas surprise.

Grieving loss is a big subject.
This bookโs stories are focused on grieving losses from the death of humans and pets. There is a myriad of losses such as loss of:
a job
dreams
aging
relationships
and many more
What Kathleen Flynn shares here can be applied toward many types of loss.
As a chaplain, minister, and grief counselor, Flynn chooses to focus on death, as it seems to be that loss, perhaps the finality of it, paralyzes us from taking action to mediate our grief. It is the finality of death, often with related trauma and with suddenness, that can immobilize us. All losses have contributed to the authorโs understanding of the essentials of grief.
From the author:
โBeing with the dying and those challenged to overcome death is my depth in this field. I want to speak from there. I am inspired to speak about this subject for all who have lost a loved one, expected or unexpected, with the desire to walk beside you, awaken you to new thoughts and ideas about recovery from the devastation of your loss and resulting grief.
I also seek to speak to those who care for grievers:
ministers
pastors
priests
rabbis
shamans
first responders
chaplains
nurses
doctors
social workers
employers
associates
family members
friends
neighbors
Guiding and facilitating grief groups, officiating end-of-life gatherings, being a presence at bedside, beckon me to speak about grief: what it is, its essential purpose, and our response to it.
I know this subject well. It is my own story. Becoming accomplished at something means there have been mistakes. I share those too.
Buried grief hangs around like an unpaid billโalways wanting your attention and, instead, is shuffled to the bottom of the stack. It lingers there, with edges sticking out from under the weight of its covering, denied the bright light of day. Buried grief needs to surface and be addressed, lest it resurface when it is triggered by yet another loss, an event, orโworse yetโa projection onto someone else.
For buried or new grief, there is motivation among these pages to:
purposefully engage feelings
to understand and discover the benefits of various grief recovery or reconciliation methods.
find what fits your personal preferences, personality, and timidity with the idea that grieving is for you
Even the hardiest of us needs nurturing and holding when we lose what we love.
Letโs discover those resources for you.โ
Korean adoptee Emma Ricci has big plans. A graduate of New York's Fashion Institute of Technology, Emma dreams of starting her own fashion line and marrying her boyfriend, Adam. For now, she waits tables in a Korea Town restaurant.
When two masters of Chinese mysticism tell Emma she's the last in a long line of demon hunters, she assumes she's met two of New York City's crazier inhabitants. Her opinion changes quickly when she and Adam are targeted by wendigos, flesh-eating Native American demons. Emma survives the attack. Adam doesn't.
With the help of Chinese masters Li Bai and Zhan Ziquian, Emma discovers her heritage and past lives as a demon slayer. She also comes to the attention of Anthony DeAngelo, the NYPD detective assigned to the wendigo killings. DeAngelo obviously finds Emma attractive, but isn't going to let his feelings interfere with his investigation.
As demonic activity increases, it becomes apparent someoneโor somethingโplans to open a hell-gate in Lower Manhattan. Emma's the only one capable of closing the door to the demon realm. Unfortunately, closing a gate kills the demon slayer.
Starting her own fashion line is beginning to look real unlikelyโฆ

The book honors and celebrates Patsy Swayze. There are twenty-nine interviews which include her students, colleagues, and friends. Their stories showcase what a trailblazer she was and the extent of her influence on them and on the world. Many of her students continue to carry forward her legacy by following in her giant dance footsteps. There are sixty-four photos, most in color and rarely seen, which help tell this story.
Patsy Swayze was an icon in the dance and performing arts world for decades as a dancer, teacher, mentor, and choreographer. Her work includes founding the Houston Jazz Ballet, teaching at the University of Houston, running her own dance studios, and choreographing for Theatre, Incorporated, Playhouse Theatre, and Hollywood movies. She inspired thousands of dance students, many of whom went on to become professionals in the performing arts, and instilled in all students a strong work ethic and set of values. With that said, she was most proud of her family and thought her greatest achievement was being the mother of five children.
Of course, Patsy had one very famous student, her beloved son Patrick, known as "Buddy" to family and friends. The book touches on the relationship between Patsy and Buddy, and Buddy's life. Another renowned student is Jaclyn Smith, who kindly granted a full-length interview about her experiences with Patsy.
Patsy was a pioneer in opening her dance classes and her heart to all students, regardless of race, economic, or cultural background, and this was no small feat in the fifties and sixties in Houston. In addition, Patsy was known to be extremely philanthropic.
Patsy Swayze continues to touch the lives of multitudes of people, including the author's life. In today's world it is especially wonderful to have such a hero, someone who gave so much to others and has left such a profound legacy.
