My God My Man is based upon my own adventure into the Book of Hosea, the Old Testament Prophet of Love. It details a journey I embarked upon one hot summer day on a beach in South Texas. Little did I know that I was about to be rescued from a lifetime of lust stories, and invited into a lasting story about love.
God calls Himself "Ishi" in Hosea 2:16 which is the Hebrew name for "my man." It is a term of endearment that Hebrew women use to lay claim to their loving husbands. Why is God calling Himself a name my eyes had never seen, my ears had never heard, and my heart had never received?
As I studied more and more about the enigmatic Ishi, I found myself meandering down a path where where faith and scholarship walked hand in hand. It was on this journey where lust was lost, with all the pain from my past, and where love was found, with all the promises for my future.
