After the therapy failed, Marie Bonaparte underwent three surgical operations to move the clitoris closer to the vagina, with the purpose of achieving her vaginal orgasmic capacity. She became a well-known psychoanalyst and helped Freud to escape Vienna and the Nazi and to get him establish in London in 1938.
