New Blog Post: Featured Kindle Book >> Connecting Happiness and Success @ConnectHappines

Book Description

Publication Date: June 5, 2014

Don't wait until you reach success to become happier! Most of us are relatively happy, but we are also aware of a deep sense that we could be happier. We believe happiness will come when we reach certain goals in our lives like getting married, buying a new home, getting a raise, a promotion, or a new job. So we forego a little happiness today and this week so we can reach those goals sooner. Our challenge is the days and weeks turn into months and years. The goals we thought would make us happy turn out to be just milestones on a long journey, and our happiness does not materialize like we had hoped. Happiness in the form of a deep sense of contentment, satisfaction, and fulfillment seems to be missing. This book will help by providing a clear plan on how to choose happiness and then leverage that happiness to become even more successful. Don’t spend your life chasing success and hoping for happiness, learn how to connect happiness and success.

Connecting Happiness and Success is a guide to creating Success through Happiness. It includes 4 concepts you can implement to become happier and 3 concepts that teach you how to leverage that happiness to be successful. It includes practical applications, examples and activities.

From the Foreword:

Ray White is now providing clarity on the connection between happiness and success like no one ever has before. His book will not only give you a distinct advantage in your professional pursuits, but, more importantly, in that most elusive pursuit of all … the pursuit of happiness.

So many people go to great lengths to be successful, believing that from success comes happiness. Some cheat their health in exchange for wealth. Others shortchange relationships as they chase down promotions. In the name of “success,” many miss life altogether, its lessons, its experiences and its simple pleasures.

In this book, Ray shows that happiness actually comes before success, not after it. He spells out how the two are eternally bound, and he walks you through a methodology that will change the way you think about success, and life.

Ray lives a life of clarity and conviction. The pages before you make this abundantly clear. His research, experiences and approach are both unique and refreshing. From understanding the differences between pleasure and happiness, to identifying your unique and higher purpose, to defining success in a way that you have never attempted before, this book is a powerfully inspirational gift to anyone who reads it. As you read each page, commit to putting the principles and guidance to use. Let them catapult your results, to another level.

Let this be the day that you made happiness a powerful priority.

Something about Kara touches Simon in ways he's never experienced and definitely doesn't like. For over a year, Simon watches over Kara, but stubbornly refuses to admit his desire to possess her, not even to himself. 5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic, heart-tugging romance July 6, 2014

By Jamie

Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase

This book was PITCH PERFECT. I'm so glad this gem of a novel came to my attention! I have to say that this is one of my favorite romances that I've read in a long while. From the concept, to characters, to writing, to plot/pace, everything was expertly crafted. July (the heroine of the story) as a character was so heartfelt and naive and innocent that my emotions just melted with her as she endured through her judgmental family and the awkward/embarrassing duty of picking a husband in a strange, real-life-version of the bachelorette show.

What struck me as so unique about this story, and separated it from so many other cookie-cutter romances was July. As a protagonist she was something different. "Ameriasian" as she describes herself, a half-Japanese protag was refreshing. Also her mannerisms and hermit-like existence prior to her husband-pageant was something that was refreshing and unique to see. It was fun seeing her jump out of her comfort zone and meet each (hot!) suitor and experience the ups and downs and twists and turns of her finding the one man who will marry her for her, and not just for her money.

Her family were also very well realized, with sisters that ranged from the snotty and bratty to the compassionate and helpful. They, along with July's parents spanned the spectrum of familial dysfunction, and encapsulated, I think, what a lot of families under pressure go through.

As July stumbled through her crazy circumstances, I smiled when she did, my heart broke when hers broke, and my emotions rose when hers rose. That's what a great story is supposed to do, and this one did it in spades. Five stars.
